Scarcity Mindset of Sexperts = Not Good for Business

Isn’t it ironic that so many sexperts are well familiar with the concept of scarcity mindset in love and pleasure and teach their clients how to overcome it and embrace abundance, yet they themselves carry scarcity mindsets when it comes to their work.

I notice so many sexperts shy away from being in a community of fellow professionals and especially so from sharing their insights of what makes their business successful. This in turn leads them to working in isolation, which is harmful for their wellbeing and also businesses, too. How does it affect their businesses? Well, it does not allow them to network, build relationships and collaborate with other professionals - folk they see as competitors.

“To build community requires vigilant awareness of the work we must continually do to undermine all the socialization that leads us to behave in ways that perpetuate domination.” - bell hooks

This comes from a place of fear - fear that helping other professionals hinders you and your business. Fear that is fueled by the cruel sounds of our Imposter Syndrome as well as the beliefs that others will only ‘take’ from us, as many in our lives - from friends and families to strangers, have done with our time, knowledge, generosity and desire to be of help.

It doesn’t help that the way society shapes us and socialises us especially in the west is to believe in the bullshit of “the self-made rich’’ and the erosion of community and collaboration. Businesses are like children, it takes a village to make them grow and turn them into success. And the most successful people know this, this is why they are successful. Because it is NOT what you do, but WHO you know and how they uplift you that makes people successful.

Knowledge is power, community is strength and positive attitude is everything.” - Lance Armstrong

I challenge you, dear sexperts - see the elites of the world - see who they hangout with and how they made it up there. A while back I listened to a podcast with Tony Robbins, what blew me away was his honest share of how when he was still a nobody, he spent $30k on a weekend event he was invited to so he can network with the most successful people there. And he spoke how it was there he managed to impress a few people who pushed his career forward with their influence and connections. So abandon this inspirational crap he dishes out nowadays - because he’d be nowhere if he didn’t get in the community of those who had the knowledge and power to help him up the ladder. There are no self-made millionaires or billionaires. There are people who use their knowledge and skills to create products and services that they successfully leverage with their connections.

When I started organising the Sexperts Business Meetings I realised I have a lot to give to fellow sexperts and also a lot to receive in return. None of the connections or advice we’ve exchanged has hurt us - quite the opposite. These community meetings have made us money and saved us money.

And those who have overcome their own scarcity mindset and come to the meetings leave them charged-up, empowered and happy each time. As they have found a community that recognises their uniqueness and does not fear it - but the opposite - it looks to see how each piece can fit together, to create the big picture - a rainbow of colour, diversity and success stories.

Join the community, together we shine, succeed and thrive - because Community = Unity = Prosperity.
